Should I open my pool early or late?
We urge customers to open their pool early, rather than waiting till the weather breaks finally in mid-May. The biggest reason we suggest opening the pool early is algae growth. Algae is a plant, it needs sunlight to grow, also warm water temperatures encourage this growth. Getting the cover off the pool and circulating the water before the heat hits is the only real way to ensure a clean pool when its time to jump in. Waiting for the heat of the summer leaves pool owners franticly rushing to the pool store at the last minute to spend money on extra pool chemicals to battle their green swamp-like pool water.
How long should I run my pump?
We suggest running the pool pump 4-6 hours in the middle of the day (around 10am-3pm). This makes sure the water is flowing when the sun is at its warmest, which helps to reduce the growth of algae.
We need to get a water truck, how much water is in my pool?
